It handles changing month lengths and leap years, which is more reliable than assuming every month contains 30 days. It is useful for ordinary countdowns, elapsed-time checks and planning dates a fixed number of days apart.
A result based on calendar days does not automatically exclude weekends, public holidays or organisation-specific closure days. Legal deadlines, payment terms, visa dates and workplace schedules can also define whether the first or last day is counted. For those uses, check the governing rule rather than treating a general date difference as authoritative. This tool is best for plain calendar arithmetic where every date on the calendar counts.
